There's no better way to celebrate Thanksgiving than starting your morning off with a 5K.
This annual 5K is sure to be a crowd pleaser - who does not want to eat PIE after a run?! And there will be plenty of pie to choose from.
Bring out the family, call up some old friends, and lace up those running shoes.
Participants will also be getting an insulated tote bag so they can bring home leftovers from Thanksgiving dinner.
Want to volunteer at the Run for Pie??
To register as a volunteer, visit https://runsignup.com/Race/Volunteer/DE/Newark/RunforPie5K.
All participants and volunteers are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to the race to donate to NAWC. Food collected from the event will go to help feed some of the less fortunate in the Newark Area.
After the race stick around for the PIE BUFFETT!
We have: APPLE, PUMPKIN, AND PECAN. Did we mention we have REDDI WHIP?
Sommelier Joe Buchter
Joe Buchter is one of the wine buyers at State Line Liquors and handles all of the international wine for the store. In addition to almost a decade working in the food and wine industry, he has certifications with the UK based Wine & Spirits Education Trust, the Court of Master Sommeliers, and is on course for further certification with the Society of Wine Educators. Aside from that gaggle of certifying bodies, his real passion lies in finding, understanding, and introducing people to unique wines and obscure grapes.

20th Anniversary of the Triple Crown Trail Festival!
- The Triple Crown is Delaware’s first Trail Marathon and the longest running Trail Race Series in the state. (These stats are to our best recollection.
- The festival has several race options available: Marathon, Half-Marathon, 10K or 5K and…
- The Triple-Crown is a 3-race combo–half-marathon, 10K and 5K–which you can run as an individual or team.
It is scored by sum of finish places (not combined times) among TC runners only–low sum wins (tie-breaker rule: faster half-marathon finish wins). Please note the time intervals between starts; if you finish one race after the next race has already started, no problem–just grab some refreshments and head out again! The main objective is to finish!

The Food Bank of Delaware and Brae’s Brown Bags are proud to present Delaware’s 4th annual hunger conference.
This year’s regional conference is entitled Coming Together: A Community Response to Hunger to reflect that it takes all of us – children, adults, nonprofits, government entities, businesses, faith-based organizations, educational institutions and others – working together to end hunger in our communities.
For the second year, we will host a conference for both adults and children.
